history of the hall

Richmond Hall, built in 1987, is the former publicly owned village hall for Benfleet which was taken into private ownership in 2009 principally for the use of Thundersley Brass Band, an up and coming local community brass band which has now reached, competes and performs as one of the top brass bands in the London & Southern Counties Region.  Since being taken into private ownership, the hall has had an extensive refurbishment throughout.  Thundersley Brass Band remain a key user of the hall but other regular users include social, dance & exercise clubs.  The hall has been hired out on a number of occasions for wedding receptions, anniversary parties, business meetings and other events.
